When I was creating my objects I discussed with a partner which one was the most visually interesting. We decided on this one as the lines that come in and out of the top, middle and bottom shapes are very cool. I like the simplicity and complexity of the object. I am excited to see how it looks once it is printed.   

  This is my 3D model of my DC-17. The reason I failed to unload this sooner is because I was heavily struggling to make holes in the object. Once I discovered the "boolean difference" tool, I was able to finish my design. 

With this assignment I tried to experiment with a bunch of shapes. I only used the same 2 shapes in one object once because I thought it didn't look as cool as when I mismatched the shapes. My favourite shape is the one where I used 3 different faces (top and bottom and one in the middle). I think the shape of it is the coolest. I think before I choose the one to 3d print I will do some more experimenting.   

My project is a DC-17 from the Star Wars universe. If you don't know (which I would expect.) I am a HUGE Star Wars fan. My life up to the age of 12 was pretty much just me consuming Star Wars content. I chose this gun because it is the the gun of one of my favourite characters Captain Rex. (I guess he became a commander for a little bit but thats not super relevant.) I didn't take too many process photos as I got pretty sucked into the project. However what process photos I did take have been included. I first traced and image of the dc-17 and seperated it into pieces then traced and unfolded all the pieces folded the basic unfolded shapes into my first prototype. I used this to determine where I should put the folding pieces (idk what they are called lol). After this stage I traced all the final pieces from my laptop onto pink paper.
